Understanding Glass Etching
Testimonials

Learn glass etching here!

Etched glass has exploded in popularity in the past few years, because of its beauty and elegance, and because consumers are recognizing it as a legitimate form of glass art. It is in demand everywhere these days, from restaurants to hotels to office buildings to homes. And just look what can be etched - glass in doors and windows, entryways, glass table tops, cabinet doors, room dividers, privacy screens, fireplace screens, glassware, giftware, awards and corporate gifts, glass signs, and much, much more!

Abrasive( or sandblast) etching, is by far the most popular method of etching an image on the surface of a piece of glass. It is the easiest method to learn, yet it offers the greatest depth of any other glass decorating technique. In spite of the fact that you can be successful with the more basic techniques very quickly, the advanced techniques are very challenging and may take you a lifetime to master.

Glass etching can be a wonderful hobby or a profitable career. This is one of the most rewarding hobbies you could imagine. It is now within reach of individual crafters to create etched and carved glass pieces reminiscent of Steuben and Lalique. There is so much demand for etched glass these days, it is easy to start a business and make money at it. Of course, it goes without saying that, if you want to etch glass as a business, you owe it to your customers and to yourself to learn the techniques well before attempting to sell anything.

Our business is dedicated to helping you learn all the techniques of glass etching and learn them well. We are also dedicated to helping you get started in an etching business and to become successful. If you want to learn etching but don't care to sell it, we can help you become a very good etching craftsperson or artist, as a hobby.
